KT&G Halts Production of Five Cigarette Brands, Responding to Demand
KT&G, a South Korean tobacco company, stops production of five cigarette brands to streamline brand portfolio and meet consumer demands.

According to N.News on December 17th, five cigarette brands under the South Korean tobacco company KT&G have been discontinued and are now in the production halt stage. KT&G stated that this decision was made in order to operate their brand portfolio more effectively.

On the 17th, according to a post on a forum for convenience store franchisees, some products from KT&G, including Esse Ice, Raison French Cleo, Bohem Cigar Slimfit White, Raison Ice Presso, and Esse Change Cool Lips, are no longer available for ordering.

A franchise owner shared a screenshot of a text message from a KT&G salesperson, further increasing the possibility that these cigarettes may face production stoppage. The comment mentioned that these products are expected to be discontinued in December, with returns expected to be processed in the first half of next year.

According to the media's confirmation, officials from KT&G also acknowledged that these products are currently in a state of suspension of orders.

A spokesperson for KT&G stated that...

The discontinuation of the product is a routine measure to address the ever-changing consumer demands and to manage the brand portfolio more effectively. In the future, we will continue to focus on enhancing the brand's competitiveness through innovative products.
