KT&G recalls "Lil Solid 3.0" heated tobacco devices due to needle detachment issue found in some products produced between August and November 2024.

According to a report by Hankooki on February 21, KT&G, a South Korean tobacco company, has initiated a recall of the "Lil Solid 3.0" heated tobacco devices manufactured between August and November 2024.

KT&G announced that the recall decision was made due to the discovery of heating needle detachment issues in some products. In order to ensure consumer safety, the company has temporarily suspended the sale of this equipment and decided to voluntarily recall the affected products.

Philippines Probe Agency Seizes 800 Smuggled Vape Products in Manila, Stores Face Multiple Charges

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) recently seized around PHP 250,000 (approximately USD 4,250) worth of smuggled and unregistered vape devices and liquids—about 800 items in total—from two stores in Manila. Authorities said the devices could be modified to discreetly consume cannabinoids and other illegal drugs, and that those involved will face charges under the Philippines’ Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products Regulation Act and the Consumer Act.

Police dismantle a network of 50+ stores selling unmarked nicotine products in the Moscow region

TASS reported that police dismantled a distribution network in the Moscow region selling nicotine-containing products, e-cigarettes and vapes without mandatory markings, with organizers earning more than 10 million rubles per month (more than about $130,000).
