British American Tobacco Japan Co. launched two new flavors for the "Lucky Strike" pod brand on Feb. 10.

According to PR Times on February 10th, British American Tobacco Japan is planning to launch two new flavors of "Lucky Strike" exclusive pods for their heated tobacco device, glo™, on the same day. The glo™ HYPER device will also be released in a limited edition color of "emerald green" and a promotional discount event will be held starting from February 17th.

The newly released limited edition color "Emerald Green" of "glo™ HYPER" will be available for purchase starting on February 17th at major convenience stores nationwide, as well as on the official online stores of glo™ & VELO, Amazon, glo™ Yahoo! Official Store, and glo™ Rakuten Ichiba Official Store. With the introduction of this limited edition color, "glo™ HYPER" now has a total of four colors to choose from: Graphite Black, Peacock Blue, Rose Gold, and Emerald Green.

In addition, the Lucky Strike series flavors "Lucky Strike Berry Switch for hyper" and "Lucky Strike Tropical Switch for hyper" will be available for purchase starting February 10th at major convenience stores, supermarkets, tobacco shops, and the official online stores of glo™ and VELO nationwide.

Jinjia Group said its controlling shareholder, Jinjia Venture, will have part of its holdings auctioned by the Shenzhen Nanshan Court, involving 43.4 million shares. Earlier, the Shenzhen Intermediate Court announced another auction of 37.27 million shares. Together they represent 5.56% of total equity. Jinjia said the auctions will not affect company control.

Australia NSW Police Crack Down on Illicit Tobacco Syndicate Under Strike Force Franklin

NSW Police, together with NSW Health and the Australian Border Force, seized more than 18,000 vapes, 1.9 million cigarettes, 74kg of loose-leaf tobacco and five unregistered firearms during a week of action under Strike Force Franklin. Four people were charged following coordinated raids on the Far North Coast. Police said the operation targeted organised crime networks profiting from illicit tobacco sales, with an estimated street value exceeding $2.35 million(1.54 million US dollars)..

BAT expands facial age-estimation checks: over 600 stores covered in Europe, targeting 1,000 by year-end

BAT has partnered with the Channel Islands Co-operative Society and Yoti to pilot facial age estimation in 10 Coop stores across Jersey. Customers scan a QR code and take a selfie; the system instantly deletes the image and returns only a yes/no against a minimum age threshold (set at 20) for the pilot. BAT already uses Yoti in 600+ stores across Europe and plans to reach 1,000 by year-end.
