According to a report by Capitalfm on July 19, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis signed a new regulation on Friday, strengthening restrictions on e-cigarette advertising, including e-cigarette devices and heated tobacco products.

The new regulations have expanded the existing ban on explicit advertising of tobacco products.

The updated laws include regulations for e-cigarettes, e-cigarette devices, heated tobacco products, non-combustion tobacco alternatives, and oral nicotine pouches.

These products' explicit advertisements are prohibited on radio, television programs, and public transportation tickets.

In addition, regulations prohibit advertising these products within or within 200 meters of educational and medical facilities or their entrances.

At the same time, regulations prohibit advertisements in publications primarily targeting minors, as well as before, during, and after children's performances in theaters.
