PMI appoints Kurnia Adhi Sulistyawan as manufacturing director of its Romanian factory, plans to invest over $130 million.

In recent news, as reported by Evz, the Philip Morris International company (PMI) has appointed Kurnia Adhi Sulistyawan as the Director of Manufacturing in their Romanian factory.

 

PMI Romania, the tobacco factory located in Otopeni, was established in 1997. The factory produces IQOS devices, with over 92% of them being exported to 54 markets across five continents.

 

According to reports, Kurnia has been promoted from production manager to manufacturing director, overseeing all operations at the headquarters of PMI Romania. In addition, PMI Romania has announced plans for an additional investment of over $130 million to increase production capacity, boost export growth in Romania, and accelerate the transition to a smoke-free environment.

 

Currently, Philip Morris International operates in Romania through two entities: Philip Morris Trading Company (commercial division) and Philip Morris Romania Company (production division).
