According to a report from the Korean news agency Yonhap, Philip Morris International (PMI) Korea announced on June 12 the launch of a new HNB product called "IQOS ILUMA i One". This new product is an entry-level product following the "IQOS ILUMA i" and "IQOS ILUMA i Prime", with a suggested retail price of 59,000 Korean won (approximately $45).

 

After being fully charged, this product can be used continuously up to 20 times. It weighs 74 grams and is made of all-aluminum body. The appearance comes in four colors: Gentle Breeze Blue, Midnight Black, Bright Gloss Red Clay, and Digital Purple Violet.

 

When the dedicated pod is inserted, the device will automatically begin heating up and is equipped with the "Flex Puff" function, which can automatically run according to the user's usage pattern, allowing up to four additional puffs in a maximum of six minutes. Additionally, the "SMARTCORE sensing system" is applied, eliminating the need to clean the device after each use and providing a convenient and seamless user experience.

 

The new product is now available for sale in 9 IQOS flagship stores, convenience stores, and official online store in South Korea. Philip Morris International (PMI) is also offering a discount of 20,000 Korean won (approximately $14.65) for first-time adult users of the ILUMA i series.

 

Philip Morris International's representative in South Korea, Yoon Hee-kyung, stated:

 

"IQOS ILUMA and i One are new products based on technological innovation that combine convenience and practicality. They can be easily used in everyday life at a reasonable price by adult users of various lifestyles and adult smokers who want to switch to non-combustible products."

 

In February 2025, Philip Morris International (PMI) Korea received positive feedback in the market for its products "IQOS ILUMA i PRIME" and "IQOS ILUMA i".

 

In April, the company released the first limited edition model of the "IQOS ILUMA i" series, called "IQOS ILUMA i MINERA." During the same month, Philip Morris International (PMI) Korea also launched a new product called "SENTIA" nationwide, targeting adult smokers who are new to HNB products, taking a significant step towards promoting smoke-free alternative transformation strategy.
