
According to a report from Dantri on December 15th, Xian Gang City police recently discovered and seized over 13,600 e-cigarette products, accessories, and e-liquid, with a total value estimated at around 1 billion Vietnamese dong (approximately $40,000).

On December 12, the city's Public Security Economic Police Department, in collaboration with the Anhai Beifang Public Security in Shancha County, conducted a surprise inspection of a company's warehouse in Antun Industrial Zone. They discovered 13,672 units of e-cigarette products, e-cigarette accessories, and various e-liquids. The estimated value of these goods is around 1 billion Vietnamese Dong (approximately $4,000 USD). Among the confiscated e-cigarette products were items bearing the brand logo "RELX".
According to the investigation, Ms. H, who owns this batch of e-cigarettes, failed to provide any legal proof of the source of the goods.
At present, the economic police department of Danang City has filed a case and temporarily seized all e-cigarette goods for further investigation, and will deal with them according to law.
On November 30, 2024, the 15th National Congress approved and decided during its eighth session to prohibit the production, operation, importation, trafficking, transportation, and use of e-cigarettes, heated tobacco, and other harmful gases and substances starting in 2025.
