Promoting Awareness of E-cigarette Harms Among Teenagers in Plymouth
Plymouth, UK educates pre-teens on e-cigarette harm amid rising usage concerns; council aims to prevent youth vaping.

According to a report by BBC on August 1st, Plymouth, UK will be launching an education campaign targeting 12 to 13-year-olds to raise awareness about the dangers of e-cigarettes. This initiative is part of efforts to prevent children from using e-cigarettes. The city council expressed concerns about the use of e-cigarettes and the potential health risks they pose, especially since they may contain additional substances.

According to the British health charity ASH (Action on Smoking and Health), a survey of 2000 children aged 11 to 17 in 2023 revealed that nearly 8% of children in the UK are using e-cigarettes, compared to just 4% in 2020.
