2Firsts, Nov. 7, 2025 — According to TASS, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during his visit to a demonstration and awareness centre for adaptive sport in Samara, endorsed the idea of a full ban on the sale of vapes in Russia.

He remarked, “Вот, Дмитрий Николаевич [Чернышенко, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation], nodding his head. Our government supports this,” while leaders of the nationwide public movement “Zdorovoe Otechestvo” (Healthy Fatherland), led by Ekaterina Leshchinskaya, asked the President for a directive “to introduce a full ban on vapes in Russia.”

Putin gave a nod in approval.

He emphasised: “It’s important not only to make such a decision, but also to carry out corresponding work among youth.”
