2Firsts, October 31, 2025 — According to the Singapore Police Force and court filings, 13 individuals were each charged on Oct 30 under the Organised Crime Act (OCA) for their alleged roles in a syndicate supplying vapes in Singapore; a 14th suspect is expected to face the same charge on Oct 31. Police said all 14 had previously been charged for possessing, or conspiring to possess, vapes for sale and are remanded to assist investigations.
The 14th suspect was charged on Oct 25 with conspiring with four others to possess over 12,300 vapes for sale. In an Oct 29 update, police said the syndicate is suspected of orchestrating importation and distribution from Malaysia to local consumers.
Upon conviction, OCA imposes up to S$100,000 in fines or five years’ imprisonment, or both. Those importing, distributing or selling vapes face up to S$10,000/6 months (first offence) and up to S$20,000/12 months (subsequent).
Since Sep 1, user fines have also increased to S$500 (<18) and S$700 (adults).
