
According to The Hill reported on September 19th, former Fox News host and current internet personality, conservative commentator Tucker Carlson recently revealed plans to launch a nicotine pouch product called "Alp" to compete with Philip Morris International's (PMI) nicotine pouch brand "ZYN.

Carlson's long-time business partner Neil Patel stated that they plan to comply with federal regulations, but did not disclose whether they will seek approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The Hill has reached out to Carlson's representatives for comment.
Carlson is a well-known nicotine enthusiast who has publicly stated that he has tried "ZYN" and referred to it as a "powerful productivity booster.
According to The Wall Street Journal (The Journal), he later criticized the brand and stated in an interview that "ZYN is a brand designed for women and liberals.
A spokesperson for PMI said that,

After being fired by Fox News in 2023, Carlson has established a media company and launched a video commentary show on social platform X.
It is reported that Tucker Carlson is one of former President Trump's top supporters, and has been invited to participate in the Republican National Convention. He recently began a national speaking tour, where he has discussed with guests such as actor Russell Brand and Georgia State Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene.
