Local health experts in Sioux City, Iowa are warning about the potential dangers of electronic cigarettes and vaping.

Doctors warn that electronic cigarettes are not subject to any safety regulations from health agencies, which does not mean they do not pose a significant threat to overall health.

Doctors say that the likelihood of developing respiratory illnesses such as pneumonia is higher in people who use electronic cigarettes. Similar to regular cigarettes, electronic cigarettes still contain toxic substances.
