Wrexham E-cigarette Shop Ordered to Close for 3 Months
A vape shop in the center of Wrexham, Wales, has been ordered to shut down for three months until February 28, 2024, for illegally selling e-cigarette products.

According to reports from Wrexham, a town in Wales, a local e-cigarette store has been ordered to close for a period of three months, until February 28, 2024. This action was taken by trade standard officials from Wrexham County Borough Council, as the store had been consistently selling illegal e-cigarette products.

Portugal is among the countries opposing the UK Tobacco and Vapes Bill, which would ban tobacco sales to people born on or after Jan. 1, 2009. China Tobacco Yunnan Patent Describes Cigar Flavor Granules With Encapsulation Rate Above 77%
According to public records from China’s National Intellectual Property Administration, a patent application filed by China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd. for “cigar flavor granules” was published on May 12, 2026. The filing proposes purifying an ethanol extract of cigar tobacco leaves using LX-8 macroporous resin, followed by encapsulation with maltodextrin and sucrose fatty acid ester to improve smoking comfort, reduce dryness and enhance aroma release stability in reconstituted tobacco.

A Kentucky bill relating to tobacco, nicotine, and vapor product licensing was signed by the governor on April 10, 2026, and enacted as Acts Chapter 70. Imperial Brands released a trading update on April 14, reiterating its FY26 guidance and saying its 2030 transformation has started positively. The company said it still expects low-single-digit tobacco net revenue growth, double-digit NGP net revenue growth, 3.00% to 5.00% growth in Group adjusted operating profit, at least high-single-digit earnings per share growth, and at least GBP 2.2 billion in free cash flow for the full year.
