BAT to Launch New Glo Series Heating Device
BAT is to launch its new Glo Hyper Pro series globally, after test launches in Japan, Italy, and Poland.

According to a report from CercleFinance, British American Tobacco (BAT) has recently announced the upcoming launch of its new Glo series heat-not-burn devices.

 

British American Tobacco describes Glo as a "non-combustible smoking alternative that produces fewer toxic substances compared to traditional cigarettes".

 

The newly launched device, glo Hyper Pro, requires approximately 90 minutes for a full charge, providing a whole day of usage and up to 20 consecutive uses.

 

According to Kingsley Wheaton, Director of Strategy and Growth at BAT, more than 8.8 million adult consumers are currently using Glo products.

 

The Glo series is now available for sale in over 20 markets worldwide, with the new Glo Hyper Pro already launched and being sold in Japan, Italy, and Poland. It is expected to be released in other global markets by 2024.

The groups said there is still no reliable overall statistic for the illegal trade in tobacco products, e-cigarettes, nicotine pouches and oral nicotine products.

She expects cigarettes to account for a smaller share of revenue (47%) as smoke-free revenue expands and becomes a key driver of industry profit growth. Herzog said smoke-free products represent about 48% of U.S. nicotine volumes today and could rise to roughly 75% by 2035.
