Brazilian Federal Tax Bureau Seizes Batch of Hidden E-cigarettes
Brazilian Federal Revenue Bureau (RFB) intercepted a batch of smuggled e-cigarettes hidden in a car on the Friendship Bridge.

According to a report by H2FOZ on December 19th, the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service (RFB) seized a shipment of e-cigarettes hidden in a false bottom of a car during a routine inspection on the international Friendship Bridge between Iguazu and Estet cities.

 

The vehicle was intercepted by customs upon entering Brazil. During the inspection, around 880 e-cigarettes were found concealed in the rear portion of the vehicle, with an estimated value of 25,000 Brazilian reais. The driver was arrested on the spot, and it was discovered that he was a repeat offender. According to the Federal Revenue Office, "This Paraguayan national had previously been arrested for smuggling e-cigarettes.

Drafted by IMANOR, the standard introduces detailed requirements on composition, labelling, traceability and safety, and will apply to imported products. Consumer advocates say clear labelling and traceability are essential, while urging stronger public-awareness efforts and resources.

Philip Morris International (PMI) released its Q4 and full-year 2025 results on February 6, 2026. PMI reported full-year net revenues of $40,648 million ($40.6 billion), reported diluted EPS of $7.26 and adjusted diluted EPS of $7.54. PMI said smoke-free net revenues were $16.9 billion and represented 41.5% of total net revenues, with smoke-free products available in 106 markets and over 43 million estimated adult consumers.

More than 2,300 units of vape liquid worth over RM75,000 were seized during an integrated operation at premises in Likas near Kota Kinabalu.
