Claudia Woods Appointed as CEO of British American Tobacco Brazil
Claudia Woods appointed as CEO of British American Tobacco Brazil, becoming first female leader in company's history.

According to Meio & Mensagem on January 20th, British American Tobacco Brazil (BAT Brasil) announced the appointment of Claudia Woods as the new Chief Executive Officer.


Claudia has held important positions such as CEO at companies like Uber, WeWork, Webmotors, and Banco Original. She will succeed Victor Loria as the first female leader of the company as he prepares for retirement.

Azerbaijan Imposes Comprehensive E-Cigarette Ban Covering Import, Export, Sales and Use, Effective April 1
Azerbaijan has approved amendments to its tobacco law that introduce a comprehensive ban on e-cigarettes and their components, covering import, export, production, storage, wholesale and retail sales, and use. Nicotine-containing e-cigarettes are classified as tobacco products under the revised framework. The law takes effect on April 1, 2026.
