Claudia Woods Appointed as CEO of British American Tobacco Brazil
Claudia Woods appointed as CEO of British American Tobacco Brazil, becoming first female leader in company's history.

According to Meio & Mensagem on January 20th, British American Tobacco Brazil (BAT Brasil) announced the appointment of Claudia Woods as the new Chief Executive Officer.


Claudia has held important positions such as CEO at companies like Uber, WeWork, Webmotors, and Banco Original. She will succeed Victor Loria as the first female leader of the company as he prepares for retirement.

(JT) began advance sales on March 10 for the fifth limited-edition color of its heated tobacco device “Ploom AURA,” named “Fuchsia Flare.” The product is available through the CLUB JT online shop and Ploom Shops nationwide at a price of JPY 2,980. Government plans would ban vaping in cars carrying children and restrict smoking, vaping and heated tobacco in settings including playgrounds and outside schools across England, subject to a 12-week public consultation. The proposals also say indoor spaces where smoking is already banned would become vape- and heated-tobacco-free, and areas outside hospitals would be included.
