E-cigarette Usage Leads to Hospitalization: Disturbing Youth Trend
A teenager from Bogdanovci, Croatia was hospitalized after using an e-cigarette containing THC and HHC; public concern grows.

According to a report by Croatian media outlet Srednja.hr on January 2nd, a minor from Bogdanovci was hospitalized after using an e-cigarette containing tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and hexahydrocannabinol (HHC).

 

Just ten days prior to this incident, a 15-year-old teenager collapsed in the school restroom after using an e-cigarette. The school janitor discovered the unconscious teenager and promptly alerted the authorities, who responded to the incident after receiving a report from the Woceval Hospital.

 

Currently, both incidents have sparked extreme public interest in the local community, with the police having now released the relevant details pertaining to these cases.

IQOS Global Flagship Space to Open in Tokyo Ginza as PMI Expands Consumer Experience Strategy
Philip Morris Japan (PMJ) announced that it will open “IQOS Flagship Ginza” in Tokyo on September 4, 2026. The location will become the first global flagship space for PMI’s IQOS brand. PMJ said the venue will target adult smokers aged 20 and above and combine product experiences, community engagement and local cultural elements. The design will incorporate Japanese natural aesthetics and traditional craftsmanship. Police in Malaysia’s Selangor state seized illegal vape products and contraband cigarettes worth about RM12.7 million (approximately $3 million) in two enforcement operations. Cox has sent notices to more than 1,500 tobacco retailers and distributors warning them against selling vape and nicotine pouch products that lack authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). According to the Alaska Department of Law, businesses were advised to verify products against FDA authorization databases and avoid selling unauthorized nicotine products. The action highlights how state-level enforcement is increasingly extending federal product authorization requirements to retail channels.
