Establishment of Special Working Group to Regulate Use of E-Cigarettes
According to a report from Kirov on September 13, members of the youth council affiliated with the legislative council of the Kirov region in Russia have put forward a proposal to establish a special working group. This group will be responsible for developing proposals that can regulate the use of e-cigarettes and hookahs in public places.
Members of parliament have stated that similar initiatives are currently underway in the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Roman Beresnev, chair of the Kirov State Legislative Assembly, emphasized the importance of clearly defining which products will be restricted, where smoking will be prohibited, and the corresponding fines. He also stressed the need to consider the perspectives of younger individuals when making these decisions.
