Florida Governor Signs Bill to Establish Registry of Banned Vape Products
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed 28 bills last Friday, including one regulating e-cigarette products, targeting disposable e-cigarettes.

According to CBS News on April 26, Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida signed 28 bills last Friday, including one related to regulating the management of e-cigarette products.

 

On Friday, Governor DeSantis signed a bill (HB 1007) targeting e-cigarette products for children, crafted by Attorney General Ashley Moody. The legislation primarily focuses on disposable e-cigarettes and allows Moody's office to establish a registry of banned products after an administrative process.

UK Bill Banning Tobacco Sales to People Born After 2008 Clears Parliament
A UK bill banning the legal sale of tobacco to people born on or after January 1, 2009 has completed its passage through parliament. Under the bill, those born in that group will never be able to be legally sold tobacco anywhere in the UK. The legislation is expected to receive royal assent next week. It also gives ministers powers to strengthen public-place smoking restrictions and restricts branding, promotion and advertising of vape and nicotine products aimed at children.

Glas Says FDA Scientific Review Backed Several Flavored Products Before Senior Leaders Blocked Them
Glas says newly released internal FDA records show agency scientific reviewers supported authorization for several flavored G2 products before senior leadership halted them. According to documents obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request, FDA’s Office of Science first recommended marketing authorization for all eight products in December 2025 and later supported six of them in February 2026. The FDA has added Glas products to its authorized electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) list, granting Marketing Granted Orders (MGOs) to the Glas G DEVICE and a BLONDE TOBACCO pod. The decision expands the number of FDA-authorized ENDS products to 41, marking the first new authorization since Juul’s approvals in July 2025. However, widely anticipated non-tobacco flavored products were not approved.
