Florida Governor Signs Bill to Establish Registry of Banned Vape Products
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed 28 bills last Friday, including one regulating e-cigarette products, targeting disposable e-cigarettes.

According to CBS News on April 26, Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida signed 28 bills last Friday, including one related to regulating the management of e-cigarette products.

 

On Friday, Governor DeSantis signed a bill (HB 1007) targeting e-cigarette products for children, crafted by Attorney General Ashley Moody. The legislation primarily focuses on disposable e-cigarettes and allows Moody's office to establish a registry of banned products after an administrative process.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) recently seized around PHP 250,000 (approximately USD 4,250) worth of smuggled and unregistered vape devices and liquids—about 800 items in total—from two stores in Manila. Authorities said the devices could be modified to discreetly consume cannabinoids and other illegal drugs, and that those involved will face charges under the Philippines’ Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products Regulation Act and the Consumer Act.

TASS reported that police dismantled a distribution network in the Moscow region selling nicotine-containing products, e-cigarettes and vapes without mandatory markings, with organizers earning more than 10 million rubles per month (more than about $130,000). France’s Council of State has suspended a government decree that was set to ban the manufacture, production and export of nicotine pouches from April 2026. Kazakhstan’s Financial Monitoring Agency in Pavlodar Region has concluded an investigation into an organised group involved in the illegal sale of vaping products. The group operated through three Telegram-based online shops and used courier delivery services. Authorities seized more than 53,000 items, with a total value exceeding 400 million tenge. The investigation found that students were the primary consumers. Four suspects have been placed in custody and multiple assets have been seized.
