Florida Governor Signs Bill to Establish Registry of Banned Vape Products
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed 28 bills last Friday, including one regulating e-cigarette products, targeting disposable e-cigarettes.

According to CBS News on April 26, Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida signed 28 bills last Friday, including one related to regulating the management of e-cigarette products.

 

On Friday, Governor DeSantis signed a bill (HB 1007) targeting e-cigarette products for children, crafted by Attorney General Ashley Moody. The legislation primarily focuses on disposable e-cigarettes and allows Moody's office to establish a registry of banned products after an administrative process.

China’s Shanghai Tobacco Group Launches CNY 10.98 Million (Approximately US$1.53 Million) Procurement for Heated Tobacco Production Utility Equipment
Shanghai Tobacco Group Co., Ltd., a tobacco manufacturing company under China National Tobacco Corporation (CNTC), has launched a public tender for heated tobacco products (HTPs) production utility equipment at its Shanghai Cigarette Factory. The project is valued at CNY 10.98 million and covers six combined air-conditioning units, electrical cabinets and control systems for production facilities. The procurement includes equipment design, supply, installation, commissioning and related training services.

Philip Morris Japan (PMJ) has expanded the ZYN by IQOS oral tobacco pouch portfolio in Japan with four new ZYN Strong products, adding a third intensity level alongside the existing Low and Medium ranges. South Korea’s KOSDAQ-listed electronics-component maker ITM Semiconductor said its Indonesia subsidiary has begun full-scale mass production of e-cigarette devices, with first-quarter revenue from the business rising 55.4% year on year to 42.1 billion won, Maeil Business Newspaper reported.
