Huilong: Menthol Production Capacity of 3,000 Tons Per Year Can Serve as E-cig Material
FDA approves first batch of mint-flavored e-cigarettes for sale in the US, sparking investor interest in Chinese company Huilong's production capacity.

On June 21, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the first batch of mint-flavored e-cigarettes for sale in the US. This is also the first time the agency has approved flavored e-cigarettes that are not tobacco-flavored.

An investor on the investor interaction platform asked Huilong Stock (002556.SZ) whether menthol has been used in the manufacturing of e-cigarettes.

Huilong Group stated that they are the first domestic company to achieve large-scale production of menthol using the "Iso-Amylphenol-Thymol-L-menthol" route. They currently have a menthol production capacity of 3,000 tons per year, with the finished products in high demand. The menthol produced by the company has entered the supplier sequence of the relevant industry in the United States. The company will accelerate the expansion of their current menthol production capacity, aiming to reach a capacity of 5,000 tons per year by the end of 2024. The menthol produced by the company can be used as raw material for menthol-flavored e-cigarettes.

In response to investors, the company also stated that the menthol currently being produced has entered the supplier sequence for the relevant industry in the United States. The company plans to accelerate the expansion of menthol production capacity and aims to reach a capacity of 5,000 tons per year by the end of 2024. In the future, the company will continue to actively respond to market changes, plan its work effectively, focus on its core business, strive to improve its management level, solidify its performance foundation, and manage the company to the best of its ability in order to give back to shareholders for their support.

According to reports, Hui Long Corporation is a publicly traded company primarily engaged in the distribution of agricultural supplies, including fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, etc., while also venturing into the field of fine chemicals.
