Illinois Teen Advocates for Legislation Requiring Detailed E-cigarette Information Lists
Illinois teen writes to state lawmakers supporting legislation requiring e-cigarette manufacturers to provide detailed product information to retailers.

According to a report by the Chicago Sun-Times on April 15th, a teenager in Illinois, USA, wrote a letter to the state legislature in support of a proposed legislation. The bill would require e-cigarette manufacturers to provide a detailed list of product information and certification to all stores and gas stations to ensure that the products being sold are legal.

Currently, House Bill 5069 in the state has revised the "Youth E-Cigarette Prevention Act," requiring e-cigarette manufacturers to provide a certification containing detailed information about their products to all stores and gas stations to ensure that the products they are selling comply with federal and state laws. This bill will help create a list of all legal e-cigarette products, making it easier for people to purchase products approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) rather than illegal products.
