Philip Morris Korea launches 'TEREA Black Ruby' to expand IQOS line to 18 varieties
PMI Korea introduces new pod "TEREA Black Ruby" for IQOS ILUMA, expanding "TEREA" series to 8 special blend flavors.

Philip Morris International (PMI) Korea has announced the launch of a new pod called "TEREA Black Ruby" for its "IQOS ILUMA" heated tobacco product (HTP) device, according to a report by N.News on 24 October.

 

The new product can be purchased at IQOS official stores nationwide, as well as convenience stores in some areas, including Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi and Busan. The company said that the launch of this new product brings the total number of special blend flavours in the TEREA" range to 8.

 

The entire "TEREA" line now includes a total of 18 products, including 8 special blends, 6 tobacco blends and 4 fresh blends.

On April 22, 2026, Philip Morris International released its first-quarter 2026 results. The report showed net revenues of $10.146 billion, up 9.1% year on year; adjusted diluted EPS of $1.96, up 16.0%; and smoke-free products accounting for 43% of total net revenues. Based on first-quarter performance, the company raised its 2026 full-year adjusted diluted EPS forecast to $8.36 to $8.51, or $8.11 to $8.26 excluding currency.

U.S. Food and Drug Administration published a Federal Register notice finalizing the addition of 18 constituents to the established list of Harmful and Potentially Harmful Constituents in tobacco products. With the update, the list now contains 111 constituents. FDA also proposed adding three more constituents to the list and opened a public comment period ending at 11:59 p.m. ET on May 26, 2026.

On March 17, Smoore International Holdings Limited released its annual results for the year ended December 31, 2025. Revenue reached RMB 14.256 billion, up 20.8% year on year. Gross profit was RMB 4.857 billion, with a gross margin of 34.1%. Profit for the year was RMB 1.062 billion, down 18.5%, while adjusted profit for the year was RMB 1.530 billion, up 1.3%. By segment, revenue from enterprise customers was RMB 11.344 billion and revenue from own-brand business was RMB 2.912 billion.
