Proposal to Ban Street Vendors Selling E-Cigarettes in UK
Buckinghamshire council proposes banning street vendors from selling e-cigarettes and other items in public areas without approval.

According to a report from BBC on April 10th, Buckinghamshire County Council has proposed new regulations that would ban street vendors from selling e-cigarettes. The draft proposal suggests that all street vendors in the county would need approval from the local government to operate in public spaces.

 

Other potentially banned items include disposable plastic products, sky lanterns, and items that are offensive or have sexual implications.

 

The council stated that citizens can submit their comments on the proposal before April 28th.

Police in Russia’s Volgograd region say they seized nicotine products lacking mandatory markings valued at more than RUB 3.3 million (about US$42,900+, using RUB 1 = US$0.013). A 43-year-old suspect allegedly stored and sold the products through two retail outlets in Volgograd’s Central and Dzerzhinsky districts. A criminal case has been opened under Article 171.1(6) of the Russian Criminal Code.

China Tobacco International (HK) Company Limited announced its audited results for the year ended December 31, 2025. Revenue was HK$14.58 billion, profit before taxation was HK$1.28 billion, and profit attributable to owners of the Company was HK$0.98 billion, with basic and diluted EPS of HK$1.42.
