Interception of Illegal Cigarettes Smuggled from Singapore
Indonesian marine patrol successfully seizes 62.5 million illegal cigarettes smuggled from Singapore to the Riau Islands.

According to Batampos, the Indonesian Marine Patrol Team of the Sorat Detachment has successfully intercepted a shipment of illegal cigarettes smuggled from Singapore. These cigarettes were intended to be smuggled to the Liao-ne Islands. According to Ardhan, the Public Relations Officer of the Kanwil DJBC, on Tuesday (November 28th), these illegal cigarettes varied in quantity and brand, totaling 625 boxes or approximately 62.5 million illegal cigarettes.

According to UNN, law enforcement in Ukraine’s Khmelnytskyi region disrupted a group accused of selling illegally produced nicotine-containing mixtures and e-cigarette e-liquids without licenses or permits. The Prosecutor General’s Office said the overall value of the seized items exceeds UAH 12 million (about US$276,000). Russian Police Seize Over 150,000 Counterfeit E-Cigarettes Worth More Than USD 1.65 Million
Russian police in Tambov have detained a man for storing and selling unmarked e-cigarettes. Over 150,000 counterfeit e-cigarettes, cartridges, and e-liquids were seized, valued at more than 126.5 million rubles (approximately USD 1.65 million). Tests revealed that the nicotine content of the seized products exceeded the levels stated on their packaging. A criminal case has been opened under Article 171.1, Part 6 of the Russian Criminal Code.
