Philip Morris Japan launches summer promotion for IQOS Iluma i series, offering up to 2000 yen discount. Sale ends August 27.

According to Kakaku.News on August 8th, Philip Morris International (PMI) Japan's branch, Philip Morris Japan, has launched a summer promotional campaign for the HNB device "IQOS Iluma i" series.

This promotion is applicable to the IQOS online store, with a deadline of August 27th. Selected products are eligible for discounts of up to 2000 Japanese yen (13.68 U.S. dollars).

In addition, the "IQOS Iluma i Prime" is not involved in the event.

The IQOS Iluma i has a suggested retail price of 6,980 yen ($47.75), but is currently available for 4,980 yen ($34.06).

The "IQOS Iluma i One" is recommended to retail at 3980 Japanese yen (27.22 US dollars), but is currently being sold for 2980 Japanese yen (20.38 US dollars).

Number of Vapers in Britain Surpasses Smokers for the First Time, Government Tightens Nicotine Regulations

For the first time, more people in Britain now vape than smoke. According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), 10% of adults (5.4 million) regularly use e-cigarettes compared with 9.1% (4.9 million) who smoke cigarettes. The government credits vaping for the decline in smoking but plans tougher rules through the Tobacco and Vapes Bill, including a generational smoking ban and restrictions on nicotine pouch flavours, packaging, and sales.

South Korea’s National Assembly recently passed a comprehensive package of 79 bills that, among other measures, formally classifies liquid vapes — e-cigarette products using nicotine-containing e-liquids — as tobacco products. Morrisons Partners with Vape Retailer to Open Concessions in 400+ Stores

According to The Grocer, Morrisons has reached an agreement with The E-Cig Store to open vaping concessions in more than 400 supermarkets. The first unit will open next month in Rotherham. The deal will expand compliant vaping product offerings and follows Morrisons’ ongoing cooperation with rival retailer VPZ.
