The federal government clearly has not done enough - they have let down our children and young people, effectively turning pharmacies into e-cigarette shops, and lacking clinical supervision.
We do not agree with the federal government's legislation, Tasmania's bill will take strong measures to address this issue.
Barnett said he looks forward to the bill passing smoothly through parliament.
Due to the parliamentary meeting schedule, the Chief Public Health Officer will issue interim instructions to ensure that these changes can take effect from October 1, giving parliament enough time to debate these changes.
