2Firsts, reporting from Shenzhen - According to a report from The Nation, the Thai Consumer Protection Police Division (CPPD) arrested a Thai woman  on March 13 at an apartment in the Lampard area of Bangkok. 

 

She was accused of possessing and selling electronic cigarettes and accessories worth over 10 million baht (approximately $300,000).

In an investigation, the police discovered that the Facebook page "relx M2M Thailand" was selling e-cigarettes and related products to online customers. Following an undercover operation, a female suspect was arrested. 

 

During a search of her apartment, police seized more than 40,000 items, including e-cigarettes and e-liquid, with an estimated value exceeding 10 million Thai baht (approximately $300,000).

According to the suspect's confession, she was employed by a Chinese employer and received a monthly salary of 200,000 Thai baht ($6,000) in exchange for storing and selling e-cigarettes and related items provided by the employer.

 

Currently, the suspect is charged with possession and sale of illegal items in violation of the Consumer Protection Act, and will face further legal proceedings.
