Vuse Go 800: Expanding Sales Network Nationwide in South Korea
BAT Rosmans announces nationwide expansion of its e-cigarette product "Vuse Go 800" in South Korea, covering 30,000 convenience stores and tobacco shops.

According to a report by South Korea's Economy Daily on January 15, the Korean-British American Tobacco Rosman Company (BAT Rosmans) has announced the nationwide expansion of its e-cigarette product "Vuse Go 800," now available in 30,000 convenience stores and tobacco vendors, including those in Seoul.

 

According to the Economic Daily, since its launch in convenience stores and smoke shops in Seoul in July 2023, the sales performance has been considerable. Within just a month and a half after the product release, the original four flavors expanded to eight.

 

Baidu, Alibaba, and Tencent (BAT) have expanded their sales outlets beyond Seoul in order to solidify their leading position in the vape market in South Korea, approximately six months after its release. The company also stated that its product has gained widespread recognition in the global market. Furthermore, the company is committed to meeting the high expectations of adult smokers and providing them with more choices.

A Seoul court has annulled South Korea’s health-levy assessments imposed on multiple importers of nicotine liquids used for vaping. While the court agreed the nicotine could be treated as “tobacco” because it was found to be leaf-derived, it ruled the levy—stacked with other taxes and calculated on a blunt, volume-only basis—was so severe it effectively deprived businesses of the ability to operate, breaching constitutional proportionality and equality standards.

A short communication in Drug and Alcohol Dependence examined changes in the most commonly used nicotine vaping brands among Texas college students from 2023 to 2025. The study analyzed 6,049 students aged 18–25 who reported past-30-day nicotine vaping across three repeated cross-sectional spring surveys. A new report from Cancer Council’s Generation Vape research project shows that fewer teenagers in New South Wales are trying vaping after the state government introduced tougher vaping goods laws.
