Woman Arrested for Smuggling 341 E-cigarettes in Brazil
Brazilian woman arrested for smuggling 341 e-cigarettes, faces charges as PRF reveals illegal shipment intercepted on highway.

According to a report by nsctotal on August 13, the Brazilian Federal Highway Police (PRF) arrested a woman suspected of smuggling and seized 341 e-cigarettes.


According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), authorities discovered the batch of goods after intercepting a vehicle. The woman involved has been detained and taken to the Federal Police station, where she will face charges of smuggling. Meanwhile, the e-cigarettes have been handed over to the warehouse of the Federal Revenue Service for processing.


According to the regulations of the Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa), e-cigarettes and their related accessories and replacement parts are prohibited products for import. Therefore, carrying these items will result in serious legal consequences.
