Brazilian Federal Police Seize 7000 Illegal E-Cigarettes in Highway Check

Brazilian Federal Highway Police seized 7000 illegal e-cigarettes in a white cargo truck during a roadside inspection on October 8th.

According to Gazetadepalmeira, on October 8th, the Brazilian Federal Highway Police seized 7,000 illegal e-cigarettes during a roadside inspection on that day.

In this operation, the police inspected a white delivery van and discovered 15 sealed boxes. When questioned by authorities about the contents of the boxes, the driver claimed to be unaware. Subsequently, police found approximately 7,000 smuggled e-cigarettes in the boxes.

Based on this discovery, the driver was taken to the Federal Police station in Ponta Grossa-PR, while the shipment was handed over to the local Federal Tax Authority for further processing.

Japan Tobacco (JT) delivered a strong Q3 2025. Revenue rose 18.3% year over year to ¥947.2 billion, with adjusted operating profit up 27.8% to ¥279.0 billion (+20.8% at constant currency) and net profit up 29.7% to ¥176.7 billion. Growth was led by reduced-risk products (RRP): total RRP volume climbed 40%, with heated tobacco (HTS) up 53%.
