Illegal E-cigarette Trafficking: Brazilian Federal Police Seize Products

Brazil police seize illegal e-cigarettes in "POD II" operation in Palmas, leading to one arrest for smuggling charges.

On June 11th, it was reported by Surgiu that the Brazilian Federal Police seized a large quantity of e-cigarette products in an operation called "POD II". The operation involved a company based in Palmas city selling e-cigarettes illegally through an online store.

The police seized over 1000 e-cigarettes and confiscated ammunition for a .40 caliber weapon during the operation, leading to the arrest of one individual at the scene.

The defendant is currently facing possible charges of smuggling, including the illegal import, export, storage, and sale of prohibited goods. If convicted, the defendant could face a sentence of over 5 years.
