Illegal Marijuana Store in Buffalo Busted, Millions Worth Confiscated

A shop in Buffalo, New York was busted for selling illegal marijuana as part of a recent statewide crackdown.

In recent days, according to a report by buffalonews, a store located at 397 Connecticut Street in Buffalo, New York was recently investigated and found to be selling illegal marijuana. This action is part of a comprehensive enforcement operation carried out by authorities last month, resulting in the seizure of marijuana products valued at over $7 million. However, this is just a drop in the bucket compared to the thousands of unlicensed marijuana dispensaries in the state.

Last month, the Office of Marijuana Enforcement and the Department of Revenue conducted inspections on 71 stores suspected of selling unlicensed marijuana. In total, they seized 812 pounds of marijuana flowers, 701 pounds of edible marijuana, and 61 pounds of concentrates. According to marijuana lawyer Paula Collins, the number of illegally-operating stores in the state exceeds 36,000.

Hounslow Council’s Trading Standards team, working with Metropolitan Police units, conducted test purchases across the borough and found seven premises selling illegal tobacco.
