Indian Association Supports Government Efforts to Combat Illegal Vapes
Mothers Against Vaping praises Indian government's efforts to limit spread of illegal e-cigarettes, as Noida Police seize hundreds.

According to a recent report by the Indian media outlet Pgurus, an organization called "Mothers Against Vaping" has praised the government's efforts to restrict the spread of next-generation entry devices.

A recent report has revealed that the central government has successfully seized hundreds of Chinese-manufactured e-cigarettes intended to be shipped to New Delhi. The Noida Police arrested smugglers and confiscated a large quantity of Chinese-made e-cigarettes from Nepal. The black market value of these e-cigarettes, which are banned in India, is estimated to be around 500,000 Indian Rupees.

This batch of illegal goods was originally intended to be sold in the Rohini area of Delhi and its surrounding regions. The prices of these e-cigarettes were very high among the young consumer groups in bars, restaurants, and cities.

In light of this, the Indian government has been actively banning the sale of e-cigarettes and has completely prohibited e-cigarettes and similar next-generation vaping devices through the 2019 Prohibition of Electronic Cigarette Act (PECA).
