Interdisciplinary Conference on Tobacco Regulation and E-cigarette Control
Brazil to hold its first interdisciplinary conference, the "SBGMD," on November 25 in Guarujá to discuss tobacco regulation and e-cigarette impact.

Brazil will hold its first interdisciplinary conference on November 25th, Saturday, called the "SBGMD". The conference will take place in Guarujá and will address all aspects of tobacco use regulation, including issues concerning the suboptimal health population and smoking cessation efforts.

 

Doctors and scientists will discuss at the conference the impact of e-cigarette use on health and methods of controlling this practice.

Ispire Technology reported financial results on May 7, 2026, for the third quarter of fiscal 2026, covering the three months ended March 31, 2026. Revenue was $18.7 million, compared with $26.2 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2025 and $20.3 million in the prior quarter. Gross profit was $2.0 million, with gross margin of 10.7%. Net loss was $9.5 million, or $0.17 per share. The company said it held $18.0 million in cash as of March 31, 2026, up $468,000 sequentially.

Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada has registered a bill that would ban the use of tobacco products, vapes, hookahs, herbal smoking mixtures and heated tobacco devices by people under 17. The bill was introduced by People’s Deputy Georgiy Mazurashu and has already been sent to the relevant parliamentary committee.
