IQOS Together X Brand Event Celebrates 10th Anniversary in Japan

Philip Morris Japan hosted the "IQOS Together X" event in Tokyo to celebrate the 10th anniversary of IQOS in Japan.

According to the Japanese media Sanspo, on May 22nd, Philip Morris Japan held a large-scale brand event called "IQOS Together X" in front of the Meiji Shrine in Tokyo.

The event was organized to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the company's heated tobacco product "IQOS" being launched in Japan. Smokers over the age of 20 are welcome to participate, even if they are not IQOS users. After registering as a member on a dedicated website, participants can earn points to enter a draw by watching videos and completing surveys.

The event will be held four times from May to September. The highlight of the first round (ending on June 22) is the "Ultimate Mediterranean Greek Experience" for 10 people for 7 days and 5 nights. In addition, a total of 180,000 prizes will be distributed in four rounds to express gratitude to IQOS users and encourage them to quit smoking.

Singapore Charges 14 Over Vape Syndicate Under Organised Crime Act

Singapore police said 13 people were charged on Oct 30 under the Organised Crime Act over an alleged syndicate supplying vapes locally; a 14th suspect is expected to be charged on Oct 31. All 14 had earlier been charged for possessing, or conspiring to possess, vapes for sale and are remanded. Police said the group allegedly imported vapes from Malaysia. OCA carries up to S$100,000 fine or five years’ jail; vape import/sale offences also face stiff penalties.

BAT Expects Around 2% Revenue and Operating Profit Growth in FY25

British American Tobacco (BAT) reaffirmed its 2026 guidance while announcing a £1.3 billion (approximately USD 1.65 billion) share buyback for FY26. Polish Government to Amend E-Cigarette Definitions, Applying PLN 40 Excise Tax to Magnetic-attachment Devices

Poland plans to amend its excise tax regulations on e-cigarettes to address a loophole created by the emergence of electromagnetic iMagnetic-attachment devices in 2025. Under the proposal, products incorporating ferromagnetic components will be classified as e-cigarettes and subject to an excise tax of PLN 40 (about USD 11.2) per unit. The revised rules are expected to take effect 14 days after promulgation.

Russia’s FSB Seizes Illegal Vape Warehouse Worth USD 6 Million

Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) in the Tula Region dismantled an underground warehouse containing counterfeit vape products worth over 500 million rubles (approximately USD 6 million). A 27-year-old suspect was detained and faces up to 12 years in prison.
