Philip Morris to Launch Limited Edition IQOS ILUMA Neon Purple in Slovakia

Philip Morris will launch limited edition “Neon Purple” IQOS ILUMA in Slovakia on June 10, inspired by summer colors.

According to a report from Topky.SK on May 29th, Philip Morris International (PMI) will be launching a limited edition color "Neon Purple" for the IQOS ILUMA in Slovakia on June 10th.

"IQOS ILUMA Neon Purple" is an original design that has won the prestigious Red Dot Design Award. Inspired by the colorful energy of summer, the design incorporates trendy neon purple and pink. The company announced that this new product will be launched in June.

Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis adopted in final reading a bill banning the import, export, production, storage, wholesale and retail sale, and use of electronic cigarettes and their components, through amendments to the law On Tobacco and Tobacco Products. The document states that nicotine-containing electronic cigarettes are included within the concept of tobacco products and sets out a definition of electronic cigarettes.

Russian Police Seize Over 150,000 Counterfeit E-Cigarettes Worth More Than USD 1.65 Million

Russian police in Tambov have detained a man for storing and selling unmarked e-cigarettes. Over 150,000 counterfeit e-cigarettes, cartridges, and e-liquids were seized, valued at more than 126.5 million rubles (approximately USD 1.65 million). Tests revealed that the nicotine content of the seized products exceeded the levels stated on their packaging. A criminal case has been opened under Article 171.1, Part 6 of the Russian Criminal Code.

ZYN Nicotine Pouches Seek MRTP Authorization; FDA Sets January Meeting

The U.S. FDA has scheduled a Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee (TPSAC) meeting for January 22, 2026, to review Swedish Match USA’s Modified Risk Tobacco Product (MRTP) applications for 20 ZYN nicotine pouch products. Although the products gained PMTA authorization in early 2025, MRTP approval is required for marketing them with reduced-risk claims.
