Recycling Program in San Giorgio a Cremano for E-Cigarettes
San Giorgio a Cremano in Southern Italy distributing containers for used e-cigarette collection, complying with EU waste regulations.

According to Italian media napoltoday, on March 20th, the city of San Giorgio a Cremano in southern Italy has begun distributing containers for collecting used e-cigarette devices to local tobacco shops. Currently, 12 tobacco shops that have obtained licenses to sell e-cigarettes have accepted this proposal.

Residents simply need to place the devices in a designated collection container, without the need to purchase new containers. E-cigarettes are considered Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), with their disposal regulated by European Union directives.

The use of these containers can ensure that discarded e-cigarettes are properly categorized, thus promoting recycling.
