Suffolk County Council Unanimously Passes Ban on "Disguised" E-cigs
Suffolk County Council in New York unanimously passes a bill banning the sale of "disguised" e-cigarettes resembling everyday items.

According to a report from Long Island, the Suffolk County Council in New York unanimously passed a legislation that aims to ban the "disguised" e-cigarettes. This bill seeks to prohibit the sale of electronic devices that closely resemble everyday items, including school supplies.

 

The proposal recommends imposing a fine of $1000 on stores that sell counterfeit products. A spokesperson for Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone stated that he plans to sign the bill, turning it into law.

Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada has registered a bill that would ban the use of tobacco products, vapes, hookahs, herbal smoking mixtures and heated tobacco devices by people under 17. The bill was introduced by People’s Deputy Georgiy Mazurashu and has already been sent to the relevant parliamentary committee. The author said one reason for the initiative is the prevalence of vaping among adolescents.

A UK bill banning the legal sale of tobacco to people born on or after January 1, 2009 has completed its passage through parliament. A study of nearly 2,500 university students in Hanoi, Da Nang, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City found that the average age of first use of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products was 16.90. The findings were presented on April 9 in Hanoi.
