Suffolk County Council Unanimously Passes Ban on "Disguised" E-cigs
Suffolk County Council in New York unanimously passes a bill banning the sale of "disguised" e-cigarettes resembling everyday items.

According to a report from Long Island, the Suffolk County Council in New York unanimously passed a legislation that aims to ban the "disguised" e-cigarettes. This bill seeks to prohibit the sale of electronic devices that closely resemble everyday items, including school supplies.

 

The proposal recommends imposing a fine of $1000 on stores that sell counterfeit products. A spokesperson for Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone stated that he plans to sign the bill, turning it into law.

Senate Democrat Wyden Probes Trump Administration Vape Policy Shift, Seeks Records From HHS and Reynolds American
U.S. Senator Ron Wyden, the Democratic ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee, has launched an investigation into flavored vape policy changes and requested records from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Reynolds American and Botanic Tonics. The investigation focuses on a timeline involving Reynolds American’s $5 million donation to MAGA Inc. in April 2026 and subsequent vape policy developments. Kuwait Tightens Tobacco and Nicotine Rules, Bans Under-21 Sales and Extends Public Smoking Restrictions to Vapes and Heated Tobacco
Kuwait has issued a comprehensive new regulatory framework covering tobacco, e-cigarettes, heated tobacco and other nicotine products. Ministerial Decision No. 237 of 2026, signed by Health Minister Ahmad Al-Awadhi, will take effect on January 1, 2027. The rules prohibit sales to people under 21 and ban sales through websites, apps, social media and delivery services. E-cigarettes and heated tobacco products will also be treated as smoking in public and enclosed places where smoking is prohibited. Nicotine pouches and other oral nicotine products not registered as medicines are banned.
