
According to a report from Liverpool Echo on August 8th, a teenager in the UK stole an e-cigarette worth approximately £4000 during riots in Liverpool.
The 17-year-old teenager from Walton attended Liverpool Magistrates Court on August 8th.
On August 3rd, the teenager was arrested by the Merseyside police and charged with making threats and using illegal violence, as well as theft. He pleaded guilty to both charges.
He was caught on closed-circuit television smashing the window of the ONE convenience store in Liverpool, stealing an e-cigarette worth approximately £4000, and throwing items at the police.
The verdict has been postponed to September 17th in order to obtain pre-sentencing reports.
He was granted bail on the condition that he does not enter the downtown areas of L1, L2, or L3 before the verdict is reached.
Last week, violent incidents erupted in Liverpool and across the UK. Three people have already been sentenced for their involvement in the Merseyside riots.
