Thai authorities seize illegal e-cigarette products in Phuket raid
Phuket authorities seized a large quantity of e-cigarette products in a raid on a rented property in town.

According to The Phuket News reported on August 8th, Sophon Suwannarat, the Governor of Phuket, announced that he has assigned several senior officials to raid a rented property on Tilok Uthit 2 Road in Phuket Town, where a large quantity of e-cigarette products and accessories were discovered.


The confiscated items included 109 e-cigarette devices, 162 e-cigarette mouthpieces, 64 bottles of e-cigarette liquid, 48 e-cigarette coils, 55 e-cigarette liquid refill mouthpieces, and 400 Thai baht (11.34 USD) in cash.


According to Article 242 and Article 246 of the 2017 Customs Law and Article 4 of the 2014 Ministry of Commerce announcement banning the import of electronic shisha and e-cigarettes, the suspect faces charges of illegal sales and distribution of these banned products.
