Trend of Alcoholic Flavored E-Cigarettes in Market
Luckin Coffee and Guizhou Moutai jointly launch the "Sauce Fragrance Latte", attracting widespread attention.

On September 4th, the joint launch of "Sauce Fragrance Latte" by Luckin Coffee and Maotai Group officially hit the shelves and went on sale, immediately gaining widespread attention. This beverage, claimed to have an alcohol content below 0.5 degrees, is priced at 19 yuan(2.59 dollars) per cup.

Is there an e-cigarette with the taste of Moutai liquor, just like coffee with Moutai flavor? On September 4th, Hu Xin, CEO of Yunnan Sparking Science and Technology, confirmed to 2FIRSTS that indeed there is an e-cigarette with the taste of Moutai liquor.

According to Hu Xinjie, Maotai flavor e-liquid belongs to the category of alcoholic e-liquids. Other e-liquids in this category include Margarita, Godfather, Louis XVI, whiskey, brandy, pomegranate pineapple rum, grape rum, lemongrass lemon mojito, and mint liquor.

However, unlike the suddenly popular "sauce fragrance latte," alcohol-flavored e-cigarettes have been relatively niche in the market, currently only popular in some European and Russian markets. However, Hu Xin believes that although alcohol-flavored e-cigarettes are not setting the market ablaze, they are definitely a good category.

In terms of the development trends of alcoholic e-liquids, according to Hu Xin, the prospects for the cocktail (also known as fruit wine) market are more optimistic. This is because cocktails not only cater to the taste preferences of fruit-flavored consumers but also benefit from the leading role of the beverage market. They not only satisfy users' demands for fruity flavors but also provide a more enjoyable experience.

Hu Xin emphasized that there is a market for flavors that can bring pleasure to users. The choice of flavors and consumer habits require continuous promotion and cultivation from all market participants. After all, flavors like watermelon and green bean popsicles were not initially widely available; they gradually emerged in the market.

China Tobacco International HK Warns First-Half Revenue May Fall 25%-30%, Tobacco Leaf and Duty-Free Exposure Highlight Reliance on Traditional Tobacco
CTIHK expects first-half 2026 revenue to fall 25%-30%, mainly due to lower tobacco leaf imports and delayed cigarette shipments to China’s domestic duty-free market. Its 2025 revenue mix—nearly 90% from tobacco leaf-related businesses and less than 1% from new tobacco products—shows continued exposure to traditional supply chains and trade variables.

Special Report | China’s Tobacco Tax Debate Shifts Toward Tax Design as Policy Trade-offs Come Into Focus
China’s tobacco tax debate is moving from whether to raise prices to how the tax system should be designed. At a Beijing forum on World No Tobacco Day, experts discussed higher specific excise taxes, minimum tax burdens and dynamic adjustments linked to income and inflation. The issue also connects to China’s broader consumption tax reform, health financing and chronic disease costs. Public reports did not mention e-cigarettes, heated tobacco, nicotine pouches or other new nicotine products.
