According to a January 23rd report by BBC, law enforcement agencies in Wadesfield, UK, have found hundreds of illegal e-cigarettes and cigarettes in a store. As a result, they will conduct a permit investigation.
On September 28th last year, officials from Wolverhampton Trading Standards discovered 878 illegal e-cigarettes and 660 illegal cigarettes at the Family Shopper on Wood End Road in Wednesfield.
A report by the Wolverhampton City Council states that its Department of Trade Standards has requested a review of the store's operating license.
The Head of the Licensing Department, Amitabh Singh, has stated that license holders and management have failed to comply with licensing laws, leading lawmakers to potentially conclude that "revoking the licenses is the only option left.
Many residents have written letters to the city council in support of the Home Shoppers Program, and a permit review hearing will be held on January 29th.
