BAT Extends Partnership with McLaren F1 Team, Unveiling MCL38 Design by Japanese Artist
British American Tobacco (BAT) partners with McLaren F1 team for 2024 F1 season, unveiling MCL38 with design by Japanese artist MILTZ.

According to the latest information on British American Tobacco (BAT) official website, the Formula One team McLaren used the F1 car "MCL38" with a design created by Japanese artist MILTZ during the 2024 F1 Japanese Grand Prix held in Tokyo from the 5th to the 7th. The "Driven by Change" project for this event was jointly developed by BAT's e-cigarette brand "Vuse" and the McLaren Formula One team.

 

BAT announced on April 8th that the company has signed a partnership agreement with the McLaren Racing team for the 2024 season and beyond. This deal means that BAT will continue to be the official main partner of the McLaren Formula One team for the 2024 season and beyond.

OLAF and Customs Authorities From 30 Countries Seize More Than 94 Million Illicit Vape and Heated Tobacco Items
The European Anti-Fraud Office said on April 17 that its “JCO VAPE” operation, carried out together with customs authorities from 30 countries, successfully targeted the illicit trade in e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products. The operation, conducted from November 14 to December 15, 2025, resulted in seizures of more than 94 million items and more than 2,500 kg/l of tobacco products, e-cigarettes, devices, and related goods.

FDA Expands ENDS Market Access With First Authorization of Non-Tobacco and Non-Menthol Products
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced on May 5, 2026 that it authorized the marketing of four Glas electronic nicotine delivery system (ENDS) products through the premarket tobacco product application (PMTA) pathway. China’s e-cigarette export value declined to $694 million in April 2026, marking the lowest April level in the past three years. The data is notable because April was the first full month after China removed export VAT rebates for certain e-cigarette products. Compared with April 2025, export value fell 20.9%; compared with April 2024, it was down 22.3%. Month-on-month, exports dropped 23.2% from March 2026.
