British Police Seize Thousands of Illegal E-Cigarettes in Halifax
Halifax and Todmorden police seize 2,500 illegal e-cigarettes, along with 700 banned cigarettes and 160 illegal ones.

According to a report from the local British media outlet Halifax Courier, the police forces in Halifax and Todmorden, UK, have seized approximately 2500 illegal e-cigarettes.

 

In addition, the Special Police Unit of Halifax, United Kingdom, has collaborated with the Ajaquesi County Trade Standards Committee and Wigton British Company - a team of experts specialized in police dog training and canine investigation. During this joint operation, they have seized 700 packs of banned cigarettes and 160 packs of illegal cigarettes.

 

This is a gift prepared for hungry incinerators well before Christmas," the police department posted on social media.

Daegu’s Jung-gu District announced on Feb. 10 that, following amendments to the Tobacco Business Act that explicitly classify liquid e-cigarettes containing synthetic nicotine as “tobacco” (effective April 24, 2026), the district will expand regulations to include fines for vaping such products in designated nonsmoking areas. The district health office said smokers/vapers could face an administrative fine of up to 100,000 won for using synthetic-nicotine liquid e-cigarettes in smoke-free zones

A new report from Cancer Council’s Generation Vape research project shows that fewer teenagers in New South Wales are trying vaping after the state government introduced tougher vaping goods laws. British American Tobacco (BAT) Japan will introduce its first Valentine’s-season limited-edition colourway, “Rose Quartz,” for the glo Hilo heated tobacco device lineup, covering both the glo Hilo and glo Hilo Plus.
