Haypp Launches Petition against BMA's Proposed E-cigarette Flavor Ban
Haypp, an online nicotine retailer, has launched a petition against the British Medical Association's proposed ban on flavored e-cigarettes.

According to the Dewsbury Reporter on September 2nd, the British online nicotine retailer Haypp has initiated a petition opposing the British Medical Association's (BMA) recent statement proposing a ban on flavored e-cigarettes.

The British Medical Association (BMA) has recently called on the UK government to strictly regulate the use of e-cigarettes by adult smokers, including banning flavored e-cigarettes.

Haypp calls for a shift in focus towards unscrupulous vendors, believing these vendors to be one of the main reasons why young people possess e-cigarettes.

This petition aims to prevent the proposed ban on flavored e-cigarettes. Haypp argues that there needs to be more regulations and restrictions in place rather than a complete ban. They firmly believe that e-cigarettes should continue to be used to help smokers in the UK quit smoking, as evidence suggests that a ban would be detrimental to achieving the goal of a smoke-free society in the UK.

Haypp's Senior Scientific Affairs Manager, Dr. Marina Murphy, stated that....

“We are deeply concerned about the phenomenon of teenagers using e-cigarettes and the increasing number of teenagers using e-cigarettes. However, we do not believe that the solution to this problem is to take e-cigarette products away from adult smokers or strictly limit their choices, such as banning specific flavors.”

The sale of e-cigarette products to individuals under the age of 18 has been banned, but this regulation needs to be strictly enforced. Physical stores should require age verification for all customers, and we agree that online sales should only be allowed if they can prove the use of a secure and reliable online age verification system.
