
According to a report from The Nottingham Post on September 11th, the Nottingham City Council's Trading Standards team seized over 1100 illegal e-cigarettes from two shops within a week. These devices were found during raids on shops in Radford and Hyson Green.
In a raid last week, a team from the Trade Standards seized 815 illegal e-cigarettes from a store in Radford. The specific date and location of the store have not been disclosed. On August 29th, authorities also seized more than 300 e-cigarettes from a store in Heysingreen. The confiscated e-cigarette products were labeled with brands such as "ENJOY" and "HAYATI.
Some of the confiscated e-cigarettes had a capacity of up to 30 milliliters, exceeding the legal limit of 2 milliliters by 15 times.

The Nottingham City Trading Standards team seized 815 illegal e-cigarettes from a store in Radford. Are you selling e-cigarettes? Make sure you are aware of the law. E-cigarettes with a capacity exceeding 2 milliliters are illegal and cannot be sold.
Trade standards officials stated that almost 8,000 illegal e-cigarettes have been seized so far this year, more than 7,500 illegal e-cigarettes were seized in 2023, and only 1,786 were seized in 2022.
